Artwork

An Artist Member at Meetinghouse Gallery in Freeport, Maine. But my first art classes were when I was only 7 years old – at NYC’s MOMA. More than twenty years ago I studied daily with NY based oil painter Irvin Lopez and later with well known abstract painter Bud Hopkins. During this time I took drawing and painting classes at the Art Student's League in New York City, the School at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, the Castle Hill Center for the Arts and the Provincetown Art Association, on Cape Cod.

Over the years, my paintings have been selected by the Projekt30 Juried Exhibition, The Cape Cod Art Association, The Tennessee Art League, The Westmoreland Nationals, the Schoolhouse Gallery and PAAM, both in Provincetown. My work was also chosen as a Tips and Picks by  NYArts Magazine. I've shown my work as part of The Truro Group, The Provincetown Art Association and Museum, Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, The Hanson Gallery in Knoxville, Tennesse, Artworks in Orleans, Mass, The  Schoolhouse Gallery in Provincetown, The Castle Hill Center for the Arts in Truro and was represented through Outer Cape Art Auctions in Provincetown, Massachusetts.

Most recently, in early 2020 an acrylic work of mine won the Juror’s Award at the Maryland Federation of Art ( MFA ) in Annapolis and another painting took first prize in for a poetry inspired art contest based here in Maine where I paint in my barn.
